I went racing, wooo-hooo

Hey it’s me again.

I have been really busy travelling and having fun times with my CMC friends. I was hoping my friends would send this sooner but they have been busy too. Not like back home where I sit around all day. I am really liking this travelling and meeting people. A little while ago, before all the snow and cold weather came along……brrrr....we went for 2 days of racing and fun.

I was at a race car track with some of my CMC friends. One of my new friends is a race car driver and another friend does all the mechanic work. Their wives really like me. I feel so relaxed here, not like at home in the Bat Cave. They are a fun group of people and they took me with them one day when they were racing. The weather was warm and there was a lot of noise and it smelled funny. My friend said it was the exhaust from the race cars. I told them that Cruzer’s bike smells too and makes lots of blue smoke whenever he takes it out of the trailer and starts it. My friend said to me that it’s good that birds have a strong sense of smell. My friend told me that they use birds in the ground where they dig the rusty metal like the stuff on Cruzers bike. He said if the birds smell gas they die and it warns the guys to get out…….I think my friend was trying to scare me.

We met these nice ladies at the racetrack. They were in cages and gave out tickets to me and anyone who wanted to come in and see the race-cars. I flew over to sit and talk with them. They thought that my friends were a little weird for hanging out with a Tweety bird, but I think they were just nervous cause I have lots of muscles now from all my flying. We took some pictures of me talking to the ladies in the cages and then went in to see the race cars. My friends had to pay but apparently Tweety birds get in for free, how cool is that?

I got a chance to sit in the race car but my friend would not let me drive it. I tried pouting like Cruzer does but that didn’t work so I thought maybe if I get mad like Sassy does when Cruzer misbehaves. She gets what she wants when she gets mad. (I think Cruzer likes getting yelled at cause he seems to make it happen a lot). Anyway I can’t yell that loud so I didn’t get to drive, but I had fun sitting in the cars.

I got to watch a race and see the cars whizzing past really fast and they were loud. It was louder than a Halifax CMC club ride. I remember Cruzer always says that the Halifax riders are so quiet because they all have sissy bikes except for him., but he told me not to tell anybody. I think these cars were really exciting to watch. They were driving awfully close together. Sitting on that fence with all the excitement around me started to hurt so I had to go and sit in the stands with the ladies.

We stayed at a hotel and I got to pick which one. I like being able to do stuff like this. There was a special chair just for me when we ate dinner. I think Sassy should get me a chair like this for when I am at home. I felt special just like when Cruzer and I have those quiet chats in the bat cave when we are alone. Cruzer calls them Mano e Mano chats.  I asked my new friends about it but they just smiled and made faces at each other. Tweety thinks people have funny habits some times.

I am really liking my new life on the road. I am sooo happy that my CMC Friends took me racing with them. They said I was so good they might take me again with them. Tweety's are always good.

I am heading to somewhere on the other side of the world soon with some of my CMC friends. They are telling me that i am going to have to do a lot of flying to get there. I hope it is as much fun as the race track. Maybe i will see some race cars there too. I am still waiting for Sassy to send me that money in the mail so I can buy things.

Bye for now !!

Hi Sassy and kids,

How is everyone? I have been having so much fun these past couple of weeks I have not had time to write, but here I am !!

I have been relaxing and spending time learning to water ski and riding around on CMC motorcycles. They have really nice motorcycles here in this part of Canada.

I told you I was going to visit Atlantic City and I just got home from my trip there. It was a lot of fun and I met some really nice people. There was this nice man at the hotel and the police officer I met was really fun to hang with and he didn’t even pat me down or give me a ticket. Not like those police officers that Cruzer gets to talk to all the time when he is out riding. Oh Cruzer said I was not supposed to tell you about that Sassy.

Anyway I was at a real Casino, bigger than the one near the Historic Properties. They had lots of people coming in from all across the country and I made lots of friends. Someone thought I was really cute, gave me some coins and I tried one of the machines they call a Bandit. Apparently this bandit guy only has one arm according to the story. It’s all so confusing to a little bird’s brain apparently. I put the coin in the slot, pushed the button with my beak and all the little pictures started to move really fast. It was so much fun. The guy next to me said his name was Elvis and he really liked me. He showed me how to say some magic words and push the button. One time I pushed it and the same pictures of fruit came up, bells started ringing and lights flashing. Elvis started jumping up and down and got all excited yelling that I won something. I was really scared and almost flew away. Suddenly all these coins started to fall out and I thought I had broken the machine. A big man in a suit came over and asked me if I was playing with the machine. You always said that I should tell the truth Sassy so I said yes. He said congratulations you have won two million dollars. I was excited but not sure what to do with all the coins because I have no pockets. I asked my friend Elvis and he said that he would take care of the money for me until I could come back and get it. The big man in the suit said I could do whatever I wanted with the money so I agreed. I think my new friend Elvis is really nice don’t you?

He went with the Big man in the suit to collect it for me. I gave him my address and said that Sassy would be back to get the money, but he didn’t need to write it down cause he said he has a good memory. He said it would be easy to remember cause, like, he never heard of any girls named Sassy in Atlantic City. I know he is a nice man cause he was really happy and laughing as he drove away to put our money somewhere safe. He said if you go to Atlantic City just ask around for Elvis and when you find him just say “you’re sassy, and you would like your two million dollars please!” I am sure he will be easy to find. Just ask the big man in the suit.  I told my police officer friend about what I had done and he just looked at me sternly and shook his head. Kind of the way those police officers behave when they are talking to Cruzer sometimes. I think the policeman liked my new friend Elvis too.

Anyway I got to stay in a really nice hotel, ride in a police car and had a really fun time. Now I am back in Canada with my CMC friends. They told me that you would be coming this way next summer on the way to some big rally. I hope it’s as much fun as the one this year. I hear that these Prairie CMC folks have really fun parties.

Gotta go and get some bird seed cause I am really hungry after all that travel. I hope you and the kids are doing swell. I might stop by for a visit some time to see you if I am flying that way.  I need to get some more money cause I spent alot in Atlantic City.

Anyway I wrote some more of my story below to explain the pictures I sent.

Hugs,

Tweety

Hurricane Lee was passing by and shared a few showers with us.  I took a ride in a rick-shaw along the Boardwalk.  I know, I know, lazy but it was great fun and I was soon ready for bed.

We stayed at a place called the Trump Plaza, which is right on the Boardwalk with a great view of the Ocean and something called a casino right downstairs!  It was a long trip so after our check-in at the hotel, I relaxed in my room for a quick nap before heading out to the Atlantic Boardwalk.

This is the entrance to the Trump Plaza. He is a really famous guy that owns lots of stuff here.

I got to play a really neat game that was named after Atlantic City places. It was really fun but I don;t understand all the rules.

There were some really neat places to see. I am happy all the time so I am not sure why people need a special place to go just to be happy. Anywhere there are no puddy tats I am happy.

There were girls dancing in here and they had lost all their feathers. It made me cold watching them but lots of other people were feeling really warm. I got in trouble for trying to peek in the window. A nice Police officer stopped me to see what i was doing so I told him my travelling story and he decided to show me around the city.

He was a real nice Police officer and let me drive around with him for a while. He calls his car a cruzer. Do you think that is where Cruzer got his name. Maybe that's why they keep stopping to talk to him, they just want to thank him for naming their cars !!

Here is the exact spot where i met my new friend Elvis and I won that 2 million dollars. I took a picture so you will be able to find it again when you come here to get our money. I know you will be proud of me for taking good care of the money.

People sure are friendly here, they invited me for breakfast. The waiter kept running his fingers through my hair the same way Cruzer does back home in the Bat Cave. It felt weally good.

After breakfast, I took a walk through the hotel stores and found myself a friend.  She didn’t say too much but really made me feel tall.  It reminded me of the comment about bird brains I had heard. Finally, somebody my size!  I asked her back to the Bat Cave too but she didn't say nothing. I think she would be a great listener for Cruzer when he is telling his big biker stories.

The next day I visited the Atlantic City Harley Davidson shop and met two very nice young ladies. Joie and Nikk.  They couldn’t keep their hands of me and I enjoyed it! I said they should visit us in the Bat Cave back home. I think that idea made them really scared.
I like my new Harley Friends.

For my next adventure I am going racing in some really fast race cars. I can't wait to feel the wind in my feathers. I hope there is no Methane gas in those race cars cause with all the places I have planned to be and things to do I don't want my friends to think of me as just a yellow canary in a cold mime.

Hi Sassy, guess who ???

I read your email and I understand you are mad at me but I am happy that deep down inside you are a really nice person and you will get over the fact that i am off on my own to see the world. I would have liked to have brought you with me but my little wings would not carry us both.

I am having a really fun time with all the new friends that i am making as I travel. I just got back from a trip to Newfoundland. What a nice place, much nicer and better scenery than the Nova Scotia coast I think. I got to see a lot of motorcycles here and people ride them alot. I was out for a really nice ride along the coast, it was fun. I hope when I get back that you will take me riding too all the time with you and Cruzer. We sure get a lot of attention wherever we go.

The wind and rain was terrible as I was flying here. I ran into some big birds when I was crossing the water and they were flying in a V shape. They must be practising for some kind of flying game. They weren't very friendly and didn't stop to chat at all ?? I had another big, dark colored bird circling above me and I was frightened, but I think yellow was not his favourite color. The wind was really really strong and I was wet from all the rain by the time I landed here. I used a GPS that one of the CMC people loaned me. It works great except I am having trouble pressing the buttons cause I don't have any fingers. I met some CMC members who took me on a tour of the island and to some really nice places.

They talk really funny here, almost as funny as people from Halifax but not quite that funny. It was hard to understand what they were saying some times. Sassy, what does "Lord tunderin jeeezuz bye " mean? People kept saying that at the front of every sentence when they were talking to me. I also saw how local people act and between you and me, they have some strange customs here. They have friends over and make them kiss a dead fish on the lips. Then they drink a whole glass of juice in one gulp.(I've see Cruzer do that before) I tried it, and kissing the fish on the lips tasted alot like when Cruzer kisses me in the Bat Cave when no one is around. I think he is just glad to see me. I miss him too.

I stayed in a nice hotel and relaxed on the front steps in the sun just chillin. A CMC friend tried to teach me something called enlightenment and gave me a book to read.  It's a big word to say but I feel more grounded and centred now as a bird. I learned to meditate. You should try it Sassy it will help you to be relaxed and calm about all of this. Maybe your next letter would be a happy one. Just breath deeply. My CMC friend said to concentrate on an empty mind with your eyes closed. I find that empty mind part really easy to do.

I went out to dinner  and waited for friends to arrive. I had a special chair all to myself. I hung out a lot of the time on railings and things I could perch on and watch the people go by. I went to a place called Signal Hill for a visit with my CMC friends. It was really high and you could see all the way out into the ocean. That was really cool.  The streets here are very hilly too.
On the last day i got to go and play something called a video game. It was a lot of fun but I don't have enough money to play so my friend lent me some. It is a very fun game and i think I would like to go where there are lots of these kinds of games. Sassy can you send me a whole bunch of money?? I will need it when I go to some place called Atlantic City. I will need something called a passport too cause it is in another land. I will be looking for the money to arrive soon.

I hope you like the pictures that i asked my kid friends to post. I took them with the camera they lent me. It was a really fun trip and I am back from Newfoundland for a while with a group of CMC buddies.

I was watching something called car racing on TV with some kid friends of mine. That looked like a lot of fun. A CMC buddy has said she would take me car racing if I wanted. So I am off to do that real soon. I am so excited. I can't decide whether to go to racing or Atlantic City first. I will rest up for a couple of days and let you know what i have decided or maybe just tell you when I get back so you won't worry about me flying all that way. I will take more Pictures and write you another story when I get back.

Give my love to the kids and ...... I miss you.

Hi there it's me.....ya me. Here are some pictures of my time at the lake. We had fun swimming and riding in a boat. We had good food until someone put a chicken on the BBQ......I was not impressed. I was so upset. I might have been related to them. It was weally kweepy.

I hope you enjoy the pics, we never have this much family fun back in Halifax. I am a free bird here and can do whatever I want, when I want and with whoever......that is so much fun.  I also made a new friend. He is Larry the lizard and he is really cute. He is not so bright so he has to wear a helmut all the time in case he falls down. He is a great listener and he keeps the flies away while we are talking.

It's time I started talking,

Hello Sassy,

It's me, you know who. I met some really nice CMC kids who have said they would put up this thing called a blog for me to put all my pictures and letters on so everyone, especially Sassy and the kids can see me back home. They are also helping me write this thing cause my spewwing is not vewy good.

Sassy, I want you to know that I'm fine. I have been on a vacation since i made my escape from that awful truck you locked me in. It was sooooo hot I was ready to call the humane society to report you. Don't you know that it's not right to leave a Tweety bird alone like that? When you finally left the window open i made my move and flew out the opening and up into the nearest tree. I watched you leave the campground. Then some CMC folks found me and convinced me to come down and gave me some real Canary food. There were some kids who were really nice to me and they agreed to help me.

I told a lot of CMC folks my story. They felt sorry for me and said they would help me. They hid me in a tent until it was safe to leave and then I got my chance to ride on a "real" motorcycle (not like the ones you and Cruzer keep in that trailer) for the long ride to their home. These CMC folks really ride their bikes alot and that is nice to see for a change. Many strangers on the way recognized me and were waving and talking at me. I am not sure what direction we travelled in so I didn't know where I was for a few days, but I know where I am now and I am not telling you. These CMC folks are really fun, not like living in that place called the bat cave back home in Halifax. I have my own room and lots of people come to visit me.

I have been well fed and thinking about starting an exercise program. I flew up to a lake where i got to ride in a boat, did some rafting and just perched with some fun people for a change. This part of Canada is sooooo exciting. My new friends have convinced me that i should maybe travel and see the world before I think about going home and I like that Idea. Broaden my horizons, see new things, meet new people and experience the world, I am ready for the change. I will come home when I am ready and in the mean time I will have some stories to tell.

I have many new "kid" friends so all my stories and pics are going to be for them. Not like that last bunch of foks I stayed with.  I am still having trouble sitting down for long periods of time. How are the kids doing back at home? Make sure you get them a computer so they can see what I am up to and tell them there will be no bad words or pictures on my blog.

I have decided that i need to see the world and get some flying experience under my wings. I will be posting my pictures as I travel. My friends loaned me a camera to take with me on my journey so there will be lots of pics. I want to see North America, Europe and the East too maybe. I hear these places have more fun people and exciting things to see than back home in Halifax.

I was thinkin about starting my journey in Newfoundland. I have always wanted to go there but Sassy said that Newfoundland wasn't the Maritimes so I couldn't go there. Not sure what that is supposed to mean but i am going anyway to hear some real fiddle music and maybe try a local game that means you have to kiss a fish. I hope I can fly in a Hurricane OK. Wish me luck cause I am leaving soon.

I will come home when I am darned good and ready......I hope my CMC friends write to me cause i might go and visit them if I am in their town.
